Expectations
To become a part of the Department, candidates are expected to demonstrate specific qualities. We have outlined a set of both primary and secondary skills that we consider mandatory prerequisites. These serve as a foundation for applicants, providing a basis upon which further development can occur during the academy.
Positions within the Police Department
Chief of Police
Oversees all department operations and is responsible for the strategic direction and executive management of the police force.
Department Commander of Police
Assists the Chief of Police in administrative duties and oversees specific operational units within the department.
Captain of Metropolitan Division
Leads the Metropolitan Division, focusing on specialized tactical operations including SWAT and anti-terrorism efforts.
Lieutenant of Marine Division
Commands the Marine Division, overseeing waterborne operations and ensuring maritime security and safety.
Captain of Traffic Division
Directs the Traffic Division, focusing on road safety, traffic law enforcement, and accident investigations.
Lieutenant of Air Division
Heads the Air Division, managing aerial support for ground units and conducting airborne surveillance and rescue operations.
