      Community Newsletter
      Published on September 30th

Welcome to the community newsletter for the month of September Per usual many changes and fun things have happened this month. We have a plethora of new and exciting things to go over that have happened these last month so be sure to read it all here.

      THIS MONTH’S
      TOP STORIES

      Xbox Update
Over the last month, as you can see above, the community has been in a transition period between RocketCAD and SonoranCAD. As of October 4th, that transition will be complete and RocketCAD will no longer be used by BCRPC. This is due to many things but primarily due to it's lack of ability to function after several botched maintenances on the providers part.

      Halloween
Event planning is currently beginning for Halloween, the event teams goal is currently to make the Halloween roleplay an entire themed roleplay with many activities to get involved in over the course of the session, however, in order for us to do that we need plenty of ideas. (https://forms.gle/KsZYAzDtnFeqJBhn6) You should fill out this form if you are interested in getting involved with the community and helping submit your ideas to ultimately making this event awesome and enjoyable by the entire community!

      PC Update
As many have been made aware of over the last few days in September, we are in the middle of a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Attack on our servers, the perpetrator demanded 64.72 in United States Dollars and 50.00 in European Euros we are working with our server provider to make sure that we have proper protection against future attacks, as they are annoying, they cause inconsistency in our scheduling and are just dumb.

                             PC Additions
The additions that are planned for PC (some already added) have been mainly focused around our new CAD system which is the same system as Xbox, however with our system being on PC there are plans to add livemap functionality, 911 call taking via live chat, location mapping and many more exciting things and some additions that have been added recently include in game 911 to CAD integration, postal integration etc.

      PC Halloween
Event planning is also beginning for Halloween on the PC side of the community, similarly we are looking to have an entire session dedicated to the spookiness of Halloween.(https://forms.gle/KsZYAzDtnFeqJBhn6) You should fill out this form if you are interested in getting involved with the community and helping submit your ideas to ultimately making this event awesome and enjoyable by the entire community!

      To the members,
      Thank you.

Welcome to the community newsletter for the months of July and August you might ask why both months, well sometimes people are just forgetful and life happens, But I digress. We have a plethora of new and exciting things to go over that have happened these last two months so be sure to read it all here.

      Xbox Update
Over the last two months, Xbox has seen its fair share of troubles and challenges but our community has made the best of it, from issues with attendance to other issues that aren't as critical. The things we do on a daily basis are for fun, some have described the community as being in "a slump right now" and that is unfortunate but not anything we have not seen before as a community either.

Some members have asked what they can do to help, in the next few topics, you will read about other things you can do to help and important updates for you to help with, but for this topic, please focus on recruitment, deparment heads have been given a directive to make sure their departments are recruiting a certain amount of people per week, some departments are enforcing this, others are not.

Departmental recruitment and recruitment in general is extremely important for the success of our community, without it we cannot succeed as a community.

      Event Team Returning
There has been a decision made by command staff that believe it is the best route if the event team makes a return, anyone who is interested in spicing up roleplay and comes up with good, CREATIVE ideas, for roleplay should take interest in the event team.

Requirements Include, No serious Discipline infractions, Minimum of at least one event idea per week, No serious Discipline History.  The Requirements are subject to change based on the needs of the Team.

      Xbox Community and Uniqueness
A weird heading nonetheless however, we want to ask you the community, what makes us stand out to you among the crowd of hundreds if not thousands of other communities out there? Why us? What can we do better to make our community stand out more? We work tirelessly each and every day to provide an endless entertainment for you and your friends because we love to do this as much as you do. Let us know, what do you want to see that is unique in this community?

      PC Update
As many have made clear over the past few months, ESX is not something that many wanted to stay in the server. However, working with an individual for the past few weeks, we believe we have found a replacement to ESX that will be revealed at the beginning of September, it is a new Framework and it is being heavily customized to fit our individual communities needs.

With this in mind, in September when this Framework does drop, there may be unexpected errors associated with said framework so please be patient with us as we work to make sure the server is stable and ready to undergo this task.

      To the members,
      Thank you.

occurring and they have all had their effects here, our attendance was at an all time high, and came crashing down to an

all time low.  This is because of the Stay at home orders and then states slowly re opening their doors to the public.

      PC & Xbox Content  Updates.
Xbox and Pc have both received numerous content updates throughout the month of May, and will continue to do so in

June. Properties have been a large part of our focus this month as we have been slowly but surely bringing new updates

We have some really interesting updates to share with all of you this time around and some really neat updates down the line I think you all will be interested in knowing about stay tuned and read closely.

      THIS MONTH’S
      TOP STORIES

      PC Update

The PC Side of our community here at BCRPC has been going well, with some minor hiccups along the way we are dedicated to

providing all of our users a wonderful experience inside and outside the community server, a lot of updates are being planned for

our server which we will make more announcements about later during May, these updates will include playability and content

updates with suggested features from the community which the Administrative staff believe will ultimately increase the value and

playability of the server as a whole.
      Xbox Update
Xbox has been absolutely thriving throughout April, through our social media presence it has been a crazy month of new members

we welcome with open arms to the community and we want to thank for making the community great. We will discuss in further

detail below what is specifically coming up for the Xbox server and what you can do to help the Xbox server achieve our goals of

being one of, if not the most realistic roleplay server on the Xbox One platform, The server is going well and we intend to keep it that

way, stay tuned for more information.
      Teams and You

The Teams on Xbox and PC are looking for people who are dedicated to helping our community grow and prosper to step up and

step into the ranks whether or not you have been here for a week or two years, we'd like to hear from you and hear if you are

interested in helping on a team, The Membership Team, Media Team and Event Team are all looking for people who are talented in

creative thinking and able to assist in the daily operations of the community if you think you are a good fit for any of these rules

please contact someone on the staff team to get started in the process of the applications

      The Xbox Property Update
The Xbox Property Update is a big one for us and will be rolling out soon, we wont go over everything here so make sure that you

stay tuned to the announcements channel for the most up to date information. Xbox Properties will be receiving an update in the

next month revolving around the way properties are sold, bought and interacted with we feel there is much more potential for

property ownership within the community and that the economy in game can benefit from this, so stay tuned.
      Social Media and YouTube
Social Media is a big part of BCRPC and you can help, the Media Team is looking for members and with that, we're looking for
content from both PC and Xbox to feature on the community YouTube, Facebook and Instagram pages. If you feel that you are a
good fit for the Media team and can take good, quality video recordings, pictures or contribute other media related production to the
team, contact a staff member and we can help. Our YouTube Presence is ever increasing, In the coming days we will inform you of
what the requirements will be for posting YouTube Content to our channel as it grows.

      The 24 hour roleplay
The 24 Hour Roleplay is an event that some new members may not be familiar with, but as the name suggests, it is a summer time
event that occurs once every year where members partake in staying up during a 24 hour period and role-playing this event is
generally greatly anticipated and while we cannot yet release a date for this event keep and eye on the #announcements channel in
the discord, we will be updating you on when this event will take place and the events within the 24h roleplay this year.
      Second Sessions
Second sessions are a topic that is full of mixed emotions, containing excitement, anger, frustration and confusion. The Second
session has some negative stigma aimed at it such as that if you are in the second session you're not worthy of the first, this
shouldn't be happening. Second Sessions just show the increased demand for roleplay and the community doing so well that is
needs one, No other community that I know of has this issue and that is a good thing, let's work together to make it work, which
means don't Queue into first session just because, work to make second session just as enjoyable.
      As we continue to grow
As we continue to grow, we know that there will be difficult challenges and there will be times where individuals need to persevere
more than others, we thank everyone for their continued dedication to not only BCRPC but the roleplay community in its entirety we
have a lot of interesting and fun ideas that we plan on implementing over the next few weeks/months and some of them we have
outlined in this newsletter and we hope that you will enjoy them.

      To the members,
      Thank you.

      PC Update
Our PC Server has some exciting changes coming to it, with the addition of new modifications as well as the vote of going
to a full time 24/7 server or staying on scheduled roleplays, The PC server has certainly struggled with some set backs but
we have faith that it will be back up and running again as all of us work diligently to make the PC part of roleplay a great
      place for everyone.
      Xbox Update
The Xbox side of the community is doing very well in the first two months of 2020. The Community has come up with a lot
of new ideas some of those ideas were met with harsh controversy but all in all, the end result was a community that is as
realistic as it gets and it is getting even more so everyday, we always ask for your feedback here on our forums or just
simply reach out to our staff members

      Membership Needs You!
The Membership Team is in need of individuals who are willing to assist in the new member intake process, this
processincludes assisting members get onto the streets of san andreas in a timely fashion, if you believe you are the right
person for this task and fit the qualities of being active, knowlegable about the community and are a friendly member of
the community then this might be the job for you.
      Government
As we end February, Government is at the forefront of most members minds with roleplay events being held to determine who our new elected officials will be, staff wants to hear from YOU on this topic about what would make the government aspect of roleplay better for our users, we have been a growing community and not many can say they have a fully functioning government with the claim being true, we can and we want to capitilize on it so let us know your suggestions.

      Economics
As most of you know by now, a large part of our long term goal has been to improve the economic side of BCRPC and make the money within the community worth more as well as make sure it is a fair process to make money and earn money while keeping things realistic for the entire community we once again need YOUR opinions on these topics so please, message staff your thoughts on how money works and what could be implemented.

      Youtube
If there is anyone out there, The community for a long time now has been looking for a way to get our content onto Youtube, we believe this would help us grow and help us get a name out there for ourselves, a member in the community used to post fairly often but no longer does so we are looking for members who have the ability to post and are willing to regularly post on youtube.

      To the members,
      Thank you.

      PC Update

Our PC server has sadly, had some setbacks this month losing a developer and administrator due to not seeing eye to eye on several things but main a modification referred to as ESX, those of you who play on the server or on PC know what this modification is, it is still being decided whether we will be filling the position that is now vacant.
      Xbox Update

The Xbox side of the community is doing very well in the first two weeks of 2020. The Commissioners and Admins have a lot of new ideas this year that we are slowly working toward implementing you might have noticed some polls going out and some questions being asked this is so we can start to roll these changes out for your enjoyment and to make roleplay better for everyone.

      Membership
Our community is growing at a pretty steady rate, but as always we ask our community to help with recruitment and membership, the Admins and Commissioners think that the changes we intend to make will help bring in new members and make a better experience for all members.
      Realism
As we always have, we strive for realism, but in 2020 we are striving for even more realism before and are making changes to the way we do things to make sure that we reach our maximum potential in the category of realism, more information will be released on specifics in the coming days about what exactly will be coming to the community.

      Government
The one thing that we can give you a sneak peek/idea of because we have already asked your feedback on it is the Government system. We will be making drastic changes to the government system over the next few weeks. What those changes are will be revealed at a later date, you can look forward to a much more in depth roleplay experience.

      To the members,
      Thank you.
